I have the honour to inform you that an applica- tion has been received from the Naval Authorities for an extension of their Rifle Ranges at Kowloon and Stonecutters' Island, and I enclose for your information a copy of a raport by the Director of Public Works. on the subject.

With reference to the last paragraph of that Report I have now to request you to be good enough to subait in conjunction with the Naval Authorities a joint plan for meeting your respective requirements in the matter of Rifle Ranges.

I also enclose a copy of a letter from the Secretary to the Hongkong Rifle Association, and shall be glad i? the joint plan to be submitted will, if possible, admit of the Rifle Association continuing to use the Range which they now occupy in common with the Naval Authorities.

I have etc., (Sd.) Tilliam Robinson,
